Puerto Escondido - photos 1

Puerto Escondido:

Our last destination on the sea side was Puerto Escondido, the best surfing point in Mexico...Lee has been waiting for this moment for a long time...Well, the waves were decent size especially early morning, 8 foot and barreling but Lee was a little disappointed because the waves here can reach 30 foot and can be very spectacular...as our friend Dave will say, Lee was to close to the beach for that to happen!!!

At Puerto Escondido, we here also relaxed, walked along the different beaches, enjoyed the swimming pool and played with the cat Fifi {the name we gave her} which took to our cabana like her new house! It was difficult to leave the place because that was our beach stop and no more sea views until we come back to England!

- Still the rain season in the Oaxaca State...every evening, dark clouds appeared and it was pouring rain. The sea became rougher with bigger waves. This picture was taken at the east point of Playa Marinero,
- Bahia principal where locals were proposing sea fishing trips,
- Playa 'Punta Zicatela', the eastern point of the surf beach. Here too, people can surf but there were only few waves and few surfers when we were here!
- I captured some waves that for me looked pretty decent size. Lee, of course, got better pictures from his early morning sessions but to wake up at 6am to take pictures was for me not possible!!!
- Playa Marinero was The Playa for the body surfers.
