La "Garganta del Diablo" or the Devil's Throat is the highlight of the Iguazu waterfalls and is situated on the principal bed of the river Iguazu whose source is in Brasil. The Iguazu waterfalls were discovered in the 16th century and the name signifies "agua grande" or big water in the Guarani language (talked by the indigenous people).
In the left picture, parts of the 275 waterfalls with on the left the "Dos Hermanas" waterfall whose closer view can be seen on the right picture. The closer view was taken from the Isla San Martin.
