Puerto Lopez:
-Typical blue fishing boat but this one is in homage to my dad!!!
- Daily scene in the port. During the unloading of the fishes to the trucks, hundreds of pelicans and others seagulls were enjoying picking their food!!!
- Close to Puerto Lopez, in the Park National Machalilla preserved beaches, tropical dried forest and 20,000 hectares of ocean with 2 off-shore islands and archeological sites can be found. We did not go to visit the islands mainly the Isla de la Plata as the girls were not too keen (and also the trip was quite expensive). Once we were feeling better (unfortunately after the departure of the girls), we went to visit the Park and the Playa Los Frailes. It was pretty hot and Lee on the way to the beach was cooling down!
- Superb view of the islote Sucre from the Mirador "Punta Palo Santo",
- The playa "Los Frailes" considered like one of the most purest and beautiful beaches in the world. White sand, turquoise water...superb! That was the first time I was having a swim in the Pacific Ocean! But at 12 dollars the entrance, the most expensive beach I ever been!
