Parque Nacional Tayrona - photos 2

Parque Nacional Tayrona:

- On the way to the village of Pueblito where some Indian ruins can be visited. The trail was well in the jungle (left picture) with big rocs to climb (right picture). Nice tropical forest around us ,
- The village was situated at 1h30min from the playa "El Cabo" and the recommendation was not to start the walk after 1pm. We started at 12.45pm! But after 45min walking, we arrived to this mirador point where we decided to stop for lunch. We could see the sea and all the forest. Superb!!! We also saw but I should say "vaguely saw" a monkey in one of the trees in the background. The area was so peacefull that we decided to stay for 1hr, relaxing and cancel the end of our walk to the village (we were running late!!),
- Return to the playa "La piscina" for a swim. Well only for Lee as the water was freezing for me!!!
We had a good time in this park and we will have stayed longer than 2 days if the weather was better! But the prices for the room amd the food were expensive and the 45min walk from Canaveral to Arrecifes is not too easy. Hopefully we left our big backpacks in the reception of the expensive hotel but they are not supposed normally to keep baggages from backpackers.
