Cartagena:
- The Getsemani district and its modern Convention Centre. Getsemani is one of the most representative districts of Cartagena where the slaves were living during the colonial era. From here started the independence movement in 1811. On the right, the touristic sea front.
- General view of the fort de San Felipe de Barajas. The greatest fortress in town!
- Inside the fort, a complex system of tunnels was elaborated to help to evacuate and supply the fort. Lee was walking carefully as the tunnels were quite low...as he is so tall!!!
- View of the old town from the fort. We can recognise on the back left the tower of the cathedral. A system of bridges connects the different parts of the city. The spots you can see on the left and the top are dust spots and can't be removed. So all my pictures got them and they are very intense on blue backgrounds like the sky and the sea! so lots of pictures!,
- Lee was concentrating taking I don't know what (he can find lots of subjects to photograph...). In the background, the Bocagrande district is the modern district of Cartagena where dozens of skyscrapers can be seen. And more are being built!! Posh hotels and residential buildings...
